Watching the team reminds me of the early years when all the expansion clubs played in the Western Conference to allow for at least one of them to get to a Stanley Cup series. We were typically eaten alive by the Original Six and a close game was a moral victory. Watching the team these days brings back those memories. It isn't pleasant. And if I watch, is it to see a big loss that makes it clear the team needs break-up? I agree with some of the journalists that CF is not in a good spot. But at this point, getting picks for Elliott, Raffl, Ghost, or whomever makes sense. Some say Laughton as well. Fine. I wouldn't struggle to make the playoffs.
