We have some firepower and emerging 2nd line that might be first at the rate they're going. 2. Laughton is an example of slow but steady development. 3. Coots matters. Minuses: 1. Our D gets burned in bang-bang plays by opponent top lines. 2. Hart may be having a bit, and I emphasize bit, of a slump. That might be part of non-preseason. 3. As I've said before, it is strange to see previous years' pattern of outshoot but underscore your opponents being reversed. Yes, we are getting wins. But is that a function of overall shot choice or a red hot line and one player (JVR) playing the best of his career? I would love to watch a game and day, "Wow, that was 60 minutes of good hockey."
