lynxrattle
I didn't really appreciate Foligno using the "hot goalie" excuse after the last lost game, but he really lit the team on fire at the start of this last won game. This time actions spoke louder than words.
CreaseAndAssist
That wasn't much of a fight. Thanks to Kurtis MacDermid for being dumb enough to accept his challenge. Foligno has played pretty well this season, and that line was still fairly effective with Nico Sturm as their center instead of Joel Eriksson Ek. The league has pretty much killed fighting, and although I miss the 80's badly, that is good.

It's not boxing for sure, but it still sends the message that they are not going to wimp away from the game, that they are going to face the challenge. I get your point but I think it's more of a symbolic value than anything else. Heck, I think MacDermid will probably remember better a month from now his NHL20 box scores than Foligno's message. lynxrattle
It's not so much a message to the opponent than one's own team. Unfortunately the Wild needs to be reminded that it is necessary to compete, day in, day out.

Alexandron
Good news for the fans and for the team that he is going to play tonight according to Russo twit. And Fiala is still questionable because of upper body injury.
lynxrattle
https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/video/hits-week-foligno-crushes-kyrou-carrier-thrown-wrong-bench/ Foligno's hit on Kyrou made the highlights reel.
lynxrattle
Ray Ferraro and Darren Dreger had Foligno on their podcast. A lot of talk about the Wild's good start and lots more. Worth listening. https://rayanddregs.com/
