Howie58
Greetings: I have seen odds all over the map, but it looks like we are a light favorite: https://pickdawgz.com/nhl-picks/2021-01-13/pittsburgh-penguins-at-philadelphia-flyers-1-13-21-nhl-picks-and-prediction Tristan Jarry is in net for the Pens versus Hartsy. We were a great team at WFC last year; PIT was poor on the road. But when these teams meet, and with Crosby's track record against us, odds may not matter much. On face, our depth should be decisive. But PIT took two from us last year, even though one of those was in OT: https://www.thesportsgeek.com/nhl/penguins-vs-flyers-nhl-january-13/ Both teams will want to to open the season on a high note. It should be good. LGF! Howie

Howie58
Howdy: Two questions for the game from my perspective based on last year's playoffs: 1) How will we handle the top line? 2) What of the power play? We had a tough time on both fronts. Is there improvement?

TropicalFruitGirl26
Not too long before we get our first game of the season! For once, I would have to give the unquestioned edge in goal to the Flyers in their matchup against Pittsburgh. Carter Hart's play inspires that. With any luck, he thrives on a super workload, and ol Brian Elliot will be used minimally. Tristan Jarry and Casey DeSmith will have to show they can handle regular starts...especially Jarry. Flyers skaters also have to be excited and feel they can match up well against Pittsburgh especially after their good run last season. Looking for Travis Konecny to turn things up even more and become an undisputed mainstay on the Philly top line.
