canoli
@canoliThe giant pylons were Clarkes moves.ah - okay. canoli
because Homer failed to monitor his NHL games/waiver rules, so he played 1 too many games to be sent to the AHL.and not just Homer - though of course he's ultimately responsible. But how does an entire organization NOT understand the F--ng RULES??? a simple one like that, where all you have to do IS COUNT THE NUMBER OF GAMES!!JHC it still makes me sick to know they are THAT incompetent. canoli
were they? well okay, showing my ignorance once again I guess. Coulda sworn we were all bching about the stupidity of those moves precisely because of the rule changes...
Mad Dog
Come to think of it, Homer really did more harm to this team than helped it. Edited March 28, 2013 by Mad Dog
bcracefan27
Never understood the reason to trade Bob. Homer deserves the blame but so does Snider. Fleury had problems when he first started with the Pens, its expected. The Flyers management gave up on Bob to early and wanted a "Henrik Lundquist". Bryz is far from it and just doesn't seem to fit in with this team. I will say he's been good this year but he is paid ( cap # ) to be great.Time to start dumping guys for draft picks and whoever isn't traded the team can use the two buyouts.Giroux, Simmonds, Voracek, Talbot, Timmonen and Read are the only players I wouldn't trade unless it was highway robbery. I wouldn't give up on Coots, hes having a bad year but his cap # isn't hurting the team. Everyone else can be shown the door.

mojo1917
@Bertmegai get what you're laying down, but i think the coach has some input, and when they consult I think Lavy has thing for Leighton or Leighton has some pictures of Lavy that he'd like to keep private, Leighton is a "rescue " from the Carolina organization .the coach was the guy with the input that got Patrick Sharp traded, so why wouldn't it go the other way ?
pilldoc
and another thing...how many of them involve players that never cracked the line-up...most are ahl / echl tradesi have to admit there are some names that are hard to recognize...did they even wear the sweater?? seriously?and if they did they certainly did not leave an impression with me..or for anybody else..... OH1FlyersFan
I was checking on Leier's stats the othe day and I noticed he had really good numbers.....and he's not playing on the top line or the top pp (as far as I know, maybe Claude can clear that up, he goes to Winterhawk games)....anyways, a nice solid year from the kid. Gives a lot of promise. I have watched Stolarz quite a few times now. His athleticism is noticed immediatley. He moves great for a big kid. A few of the times I watched him he gave up easy/soft goals, so that was not comforting...but can at least be worked on. At least he has the raw skills to be successful...at least IMHO.That's encouraging. In time this deal might pay off. That would be some small consolation.
