jammer2
Dan Ellis left the net on a delayed penalty, and yep....Marty on the spot was the last Devil to touch it. First goalie goal since Nabakov scored in 2002. 3rd career goal for Marty, he re-writes yet another record in his Hall of Fame career!! Chico with the call.... http://o.canada.com/2013/03/21/martin-brodeur-scores-his-3rd-career-nhl-goal/

Polaris922
Crap goal... Shouldn't even count as his. Didn't it used to go to the player nearest the puck when a guy puts it in his own net?? Lame...

jammer2
Former ref Kerry Fraser's take on Marty's goal and the many rules surrounding it.....spot on as per usual with Fraser. I must say, I enjoy reading his takes on things, very accurate and tells all kinds of little throw in's you would not have been exposed to....good solid move by l TSN to sign him on. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=418819

I respect his knowledge, but he was a lousy referee. He knew the rules just was super inconsistent with how he enforced them. One of the worst in my opinion. jammer2
@Polaris922 I hated him also. He seemed more concerned about his hair being out of place than the actual game at times....LOL!
krasy
i always thought that own goal was credited to the opposite team played who last touches the puck
AlaskaFlyerFan
Crap goal... Shouldn't even count as his.Agreed that it is a crap goal. The thread title should be "Brodeur credited his 3rd career goal!"i always thought that own goal was credited to the opposite team played who last touches the puckCorrect. Carolina took a shot and Marty made a save. He was the last Devil to touch the puck.Only one of Marty's three goals was actually shot into the net by Marty. In my eyes, Hextall is still one goal up on Marty.
doom88
Look, I hate Brodeur with the best of them, but really? This is a huge accomplishment. That said, F him. Why can't he just retire...
