Vanflyer
Bummer. The Avs really had Steve playing very well (and under control). This guys career has certainly been a bit snake bit. This bite is the hardest. Never the fleetest of foot, an ACL can cause you to lose a step or two. http://www.nhl.com/ice/blogpost.htm?id=13245&navid=nhl:topheads
jammer2
@Vanflyer He brought all his trouble on himselfl, but I still have a soft spot for Steve...to bad, hope he recovers well. Downie for me is a classic underdog story, I'd love to see his career take off, and nice to have him in the West.

He played very well for the Avs last year when he was traded (under control, an asset and contributor- all while playing third line). He is second line RW material if he could ever stay under control.
