hf101
Is the 22yr old Kadri the real deal this year? The seventh pick of the 2009 draft has had 2 PP goals in two games. Kadri has been sent up and down to the Marlies several times over the last two season and really never seemed to do what it took to stay in the line-up, not sure if it was needed physical strength, mental or just maturity, but he looks like he is here to stay.Kadri is playing on a third line with JVR and the hard hitting Komarov which appears to be as good as any third line in the NHL.more info and an interesting read comparing Kadri to Brayden Schenn.but for the record so far this season Kadri currently has 2 PP goals and Schenn -
Vanflyer
but for the record so far this season Kadri currently has 2 PP goals and the Flyers team only 1. Seriously, I think it is way too early to draw those comparisons. Schenn has 1A in 2 games and is a +1. He is playing 14 minutes a night. Kadri, 2g (pp) and is a +/- of 0 playing 12 and a 1/2 minutes a night. What I do know is that when Schenn has played in the AHL, he lights it up (over a PPG) and clearly is too skilled for that league. Kadri meanwhile has vascilated when in the AHL (sometimes good, sometimes not so good).
flyercanuck
So far in his career Kadri will look lights out for a game or two, then disappear for 7 or 8. This is no different than Laughton in that you don't keep a guy up for what he does in two games. Kadri needs to put some consistancy together. So far in their careers, Schenn looks like he belongs in the NHL, and Kadri doesn't. If he's starting to come around, good for him. jammer2
@hf101 Kadri has some nice skills, from what I hear, he has a real attitude/big ego. A real air of entitlement about him. He has the skils to play in this league, but he has some maturing off the ice to do. Maybe he put it behind him and that's why he started out so well, we shall find out soon enough....
