Irishjim
UNMASKED BOOK RELEASEWe are proud to officially announce the release of Bernie Parent’s new book, Unmasked.Few athletes in the grand history of Philadelphia sports can boast the career achievements of the Philadelphia Flyers’ Bernie Parent. Fewer still accomplished them with his level of charm, class, and wit.Only a handful of former athletes can merit a standing ovation from a crowd of 45,000 fans merely by showing their faces; Bernie Parent is one of those men. jammer2
@flyerrod I often wonder how well off Bernie is these days. I know he played when there was not much money available. Even the super stars didn't earn million dollar contracts back in the 70's. I hope he is doing ok financially....probably makes a lot signing autographs etc. I plan on buying the book....just to make sure Bernie is ok with the cash flow..the least I could do for someone who made my dreams come true way back when. JackStraw
I suspect Bernie is doing ok for himself:http://bernieparent.net/blog/2010/06/the-bernie-parent-fishing-report/http://www.phillymag.com/articles/legends-bernie-parent-has-a-secret/I can think of worse ways to spend my retirement years than lounging around on a 45 ft boat. Podein25
I can think of worse ways to spend my retirement years than lounging around on a 45 ft boat.Sure, but only if it has a 67 foot plasma and some girls on pogo sticks. Which, really, is not too much to ask for.
