jkearse123
Philadelphia Flyers @NHLFlyersNEWS: #Flyers signed 2012 1st rd pick Scott Laughton to entry-level contract & re-signed D Marc-Andre Bourdon to a multi-year extension.
AJgoal
Good. I'm guessing MAB is getting in the neighborhood of 900k-1million over 2-3 seasons. Laughton's likely getting the rookie max.
jkearse123
2 years 1.225 (total) for MAB925,000 over 3 years with 212,500 bonus for Laughton
AJgoal
Hrm. a 200k/year pay cut? That seems off to me. Unless it's one way, which might balance the loss of the total contract value in MAB's eyes...

I'm betting he signed for $1.225 mm per year. Some of that may be bonuses.Cap geek is not updated yet.
jammer2
@AlaskaFlyerFan That's what was puzzling me AFF, he *has* to get a raise, no?
Mad Dog
Raise or not, I expect huge things from MAB this year.... if there is a season that is.
AJgoal
Meltzer says it's a one way deal, which, in effect, is a raise, not a cut, since he only made ~500k last year. If so, the Flyers did really well. And Laughton got a two-way deal worth 925k/year in NHL salary plus 212k in bonuses year one and 425k year two. No bonuses in year three. Podein25
If MAB got a one-way it's quite a big raise actually. I'd say he earned it, but I wonder about his health and the status of his noggin post-concussion.....
AJgoal
Now I'm seeing that it's a two way in year one and a one way next year. That's...odd.
