AndyS
31 minutes and 27 seconds away, as of the start of today's game.So if he makes it through until just over half-way through the end of the 2nd period, he's got it.It would obviously be pretty cool to see Bryz get 4 consecutive shutouts.Hopefully the Flyers will play like they usually play against the Isles.Either way, just get us the 2 points and we'll be happy.. . .Zac Rinaldo scores a goal!?! Boy, when things are going your way, they really go your way. Edited March 16, 2012 by AndyS

flyercanuck
Tip of the hat to Bryzgalov for the record. The team made it easy for him, but he's doing his job out there.

sarsippius
I'm happily eating crow! The transformation is nothing short of stunning, doesn't even look like the same player.....let's hope this is the real Bryz
hf101
@AndySCrazy stuff for sure. Kudos to Bryzgalov!Eight more years.
sekkes85
Shame those 2 goals killed the streak. He didn't have a chance on either one of them.

flyercanuck
@OccamsRazor I meant in the game last night. He didn't have many tough shots until after it was broken...and they went in. Does this mean....Heeeeeeeeeeeee's baaaaaaaaack!!! Let's hope he rebounds next start.
hf101
I'm too lazy to look it up, does anyone know the NHL record for most minutes of shutout hockey?
Bertmega
@hf101No other than Mr. Brian Boucher.... "While with Phoenix, he broke the modern-day NHL record for the longest shutout streak by a goalie, going unscored upon for 332 minutes, or 5 and a half games"
fan4ever
Just read it this morning....Bryzgalov's streak does not rank in the Top 5 in league history. It is more than a complete game away from former Flyer Brian Boucher's modern-day NHL record of 332:01, set in 2003-04 with the Phoenix Coyotes. Ottawa's Alex Connell holds the NHL's all-time record of 461:29, a 1927-28 run that probably never will be broken.
