Howie58
Greetings: I hope the gang is well. It looks like the Canucks are mild favorites (-160) with a 61% win probability: https://sportsbookwire.usatoday.com/article/vancouver-canucks-vs-philadelphia-flyers-odds-tips-and-betting-trends-october-11-2024/ So, we start the season with a Western road trip. Is it bonding or biting? I hope to stay up enough to snag part of the Michkov Era getting started.
Podein25
I don't mind starting on the road far from home, let's the guys gel and come together as a team. Plus the Canucks must be reeling after blowing a 3-0 lead (worst lead in hockey, duh) last night. Maybe catch them while they are still licking their wounds from last night. So, I predict a Flyer victory. Then we can start planning the parade!

I think the Canucks are going to come out very motivated and inspired, in the first period, after their lackluster first game. Tocchet will have them playing hard. If the Flyers can dodge that, it should be a good game, for at least a while. I think they lose something like 5-2, counting an EN goal. If the Flyers don't play well in the first, it could get uglier than that for them.

Cheesesteak
WOOOO....Flyers are back! just in time. I don't mind Flyers being far from home to open...it's that 10pm start time that's gonna kill me haha. Looking forward to being entertained this season via Michkov as well as the 9 or more games with Jett. ...it's been WAAAAY too long since we've watched some consistently 'fun to watch' Flyers, W or L this season, I just want to have fun watching Flyers' hockey again. I don't expect to go to playoffs so, if they want to have lots of 5-6 losses, so they can get one more high draft pick before becoming a perennial contender, that's fine with me. I honestly can’t remember the last time I was entertained by Flyers hockey. If I had to guess it was maybe when we beat the Bruins in the COVID playoff to get a better seed. We were bounced by the Isles soon after and I really kind of stopped watching.

Well that's 3am in my time zone...I'd love to watch most of the Flyers games, but just not doable on a regular basis with those time differences.

I don’t think Torts is gonna put a rookie with the worst defensive dman we have. I think they might put Risto with Andrae and Drysdale with Zamula.
SCFlyguy
I am so tired of hearing about the Flyers' standards. No offense, Wayne, your teams sucked. Not in a "we're going to get a good pick" way, in a, "I can't believe Jason Akeson is still on this team" way.
J0e Th0rnton
I'll be watching tonight. I want to see Matvei in action Hoping he is a gem for you just like I'm hoping Celebrini is a gem for me

GratefulFlyers
Did I just hear them right Luchanko made the team? He's on the roster for the season? I'm a little surprised if it's true. I was hoping he'd get a year (at least) to work on his game before facing NHLers.
