pilldoc
Looks like Daccord will stay in Seattle for the foreseeable future ... Daccord agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Kraken worth an average of $5 million per season that will keep him from hitting free agency after the conclusion of the upcoming season. To me it is very obvious that Grub's days as a netminder in Seattle are numbered. It is a big risk for the Kracken as Daccord only has 69 NHL games under his belt ...... this will either be a brilliant move by Ron Francis or ...... Francis is cooked….His offseason spending is the equivalent of a spouse going on a spending spree before filing for divorce… 11 M on goalies for a team that can't score makes no sense. Ron just negotiated with himself for a goalie that no one else is paying that much for. I think it all resonates from signing Grubauer in the first place. Wasn’t realistic for him to sustain the same level of play he was at during his last season in Colorado, not without the elite defensive players he had in front of him with the Avalanche. Stay tuned ....... https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/kraken/kraken-are-keeping-fan-favorite-goalie-joey-daccord-in-town/ Edited October 9 by pilldoc
