Where I am now (Maryland) for a week it’s been 95F/35C midday and still 85F/30C at 9PM (today was cooler but only a small reprieve.). Yet I have not felt strange watching hockey.  I must see the doctor, surely!

wow that's a horrible call. I wouldn't put it past Tkachuck to be sneaky but that was just hockey terrible call

No intent to trip, he’d tripped.  ESPN rules analyst has yet to weigh in.  For once I’d like to see one of them say, “the officials blew it”.  
 

Thankfully Florida killed that penalty.  Wouldn’t want the game affected by that dicey call.

I'll watch hockey all year long, too, but neither of us are trying to give NHL players ice to skate on that isn't the drizzling sh|ts.

Both teams should really try to have a more balanced TOI between their four lines, otherwise top-6 players are at risk of being exhausted and rattled after this game.

Florida starting to flip the puck outta their zone more ... good idea. Oilers burned them a few times with that already - Panthers are smart to use it too. I get the feeling any sustained Oilers' pressure and it'll be a tie game...

 

edit: of course it'd work better if they don't flip it 200' ... !

Oilers only a shot away, but you have to like the poise the Panthers are playing with.
They DO seem happy to sit on this lead at the moment...whether that is a good idea or not will remain to be seen.
