The Quigster
Its tough for the team to give a 110% effort, when you have constant minus in goal, it forces the rest of the team to compromise their game. Until the goalie situation is resolved, what you saw tonight is it.
OzFlyer
Why can't Bryz score a hat-trick like Carter?? Sheesh,,

Bertmega
@Did you happen to catch the game? Bryzgalov actually played well. The rest of the team? Not so much....
xganarchy
Yeah, Bryz actually performed last night. Had at least 2-3 huge saves but the team couldn't score. Another marginal NHL goalie on the opposing team made to look like an All Star

Another marginal NHL goalie on the opposing team made to look like an All StarYou'd think the league would have figured out that this is the surefire way to beat us by now. Remember when we made Minnesota's fourth string goalie look like Patrick F*ckin' Roy?
Green Man
I don' t think the team has won in Edmonton in what, 5 years now? Losing out west is not the end of the world, let's see them steal one from Calgary Sat night and get some momentum for a big game in San Jose on Tuesday. OH1FlyersFan
@Did you happen to catch the game? Bryzgalov actually played well. The rest of the team? Not so much....I thought his second goal was weak. That one that went through his legs. He did have some good stops, but got outplayed by Dubnyk. It's not like we didn't have our shots on goal. Oilers goalie managed to stop everything thrown at him. Bryz couldn't say the same.
radoran
If Bryz wasn't in goal, the Flyers would have won 0-1.Book. It.
OH1FlyersFan
If he hadn't been in goal, maybe Bob makes both saves! These "what if" scenarios can be pretty entertaining. I'm still frustrated that Dubnyk manages to get a shutout. Maybe that's on our offense, but if a goalie like Dubnyk can rise to the occassion, why can't we expect the same thing from our star goalie in a tight game. canoli
what's driving me nuts is people believing Bryzgalov "played well" when he only gives up 1 soft goal.(i know he did play well, all in all. But only if you compare it to Bryzgalov's usual)

But still, better than his usual 4 spot he gives hehe
canoli
BUT he came up big on some others that I thought were sure goalsyes he did. Too bad he couldn't make the big stops and keep out the softie...oh well, guess it doesn't matter much when we don't score... or...maybe it does. ?? peter puck
The one goal was soft but so was the clear by coburn and the back checking effort by briere was soft also. He took two steps and then let him go. Three sheeity efforts equals goal against.
xganarchy
Yeah they couldn't clear the puck all night. I saw a few things I liked from Grossman the past couple games, really clearing the crease on the instances I noticed him

The Quigster
If Bryzo would/could do his job(51 mil) the guys could concentrate on more offense and a little less defense.
