Icechipper
Good for Leddy and the Wings. Wild once let Leddy go for Cam Barker. Ouch.
yave1964
I have read that SY overpaid by retaining salary from Panik, but IDK, Leddy is 30, in his prime as a defender a 40 point a year man which other than Hronek we havent had on the back end. The second is a late second, if/when the Wings fall out of contention at or near the deadline I believe the hope is that Leddy 1) will have served as a bridge and mentor for Seider in his first year in the NHL and 2) will net at least a second, if not a first from a contender. I am not being dismissive of Panik, he is an alright player but not quite enough offense for the third line, not quite enough defense for the fourth, usable player for an Isles team which is going to see their bottom six in flux this offseason with UFA and a hard cap. Frankly I think it is a good deal for both.

Well I would stockpile assets because I seen it mentioned Zach Werenski wants to come home so he is expected to sign a short dea and more likely in the last year of it if not that summer before the trade deadline leave for Detroit if not sooner. You'll need the assets to make that happen
