This has no impact on me. I never expected, nor expect, a leader to "will" a person to be better
I expect a player to play at his best and let that do the talking for them. Lindros was this player. He went on the ice and did what he did best, and others got on board. Mostly because they wanted to, and maybe that's what you mean by , "will".
I thought early in his career giroux was this guy. As it unfolded, he looked more to like a professional business level hockey player, more concerned with buying into the Flyers business model. I didnt see a guy who continued to do whatever he needed to, on the ice.
I know many will disagree with this. That's fine. But like I said earlier, the guy hasn't left any lasting memories on me. When one of your biggest accolades was a single shift, a decade ago, that isn't much. And honestly, if it hadn't been against the hated Crosby, that shift wouldn't be a memory either
