See this is where my disdain for SL comes from. I get liking TK, but SL? Seriously, why? I personally think in the absence of anyone to like for real, on a mediocre team, fans are fooled into thinking this guy is worth a schit In 10 seasons he averages 8g, 11a, 19pts. and is a career -16 player. I havent heard it lately but it used to be touted that he defends his teammates, but he only had 1 fight a year. The only argument I've heard that makes any sense, is that he is consistent every year, plays multiple positions and is affordable Ok, he consistently performs at a level that won't help this team, he plays multiple positions because the team doesn't have better options, and he's affordable because he isn't that talented I can see why he fits this team. In fact I'm anxiously awaiting the day he is made head coach

Because you are a true fan of the team. Like many of us. We are loyal, and even though I bytch and moan, I love the Flyers and thank them for all these years of great hockey. They will be good again. It's just a question of when. I just don't know if by the time it happens, will they be able to get me to feel the same passion I used to have The Flyers were born in the fall of '67. About the "Bobby Bunch", GOB club...... Its seems to me the obvious issue is, this has been the model this organization has followed since the glory days of the 70's. Anyone who does a small amount of research will see that the Flyers, as an organization, take care of former players. Its admirable from a humanity standpoint, and is probably why so many players loved coming to Philly. But from a hockey standpoint, or more specifically with fans as the priority, its failed. Just as a simple example, Ian Laperiere. Guy was a true on ice warrior. But his best days were with COL. He played here for a few years, and is now a career man with the organization. Are his skills and abilities worthy of the jobs he's held? I haven't seen it. So this makes me question whether or not the Flyers hire the best person for the position, or the person who we want to reward with a career after hockey. Hiring any past player indicates to me that its the latter. So, no thanks, move on, I don't care who it is. Its time to do something different. Unfortunately, I dont think they will

Do words matter? In todays sports, not really. These front office types, as well as players, more often than not give the boilerplate responses. Sometimes, they outright lie. So when something is said, its hollow until an action occurs to give it substance. Is what Briere said impactful? Maybe. But like you said, only because we fans have not heard that before. It doesn't mean anything until a change occurs. And lets not overlook the fact that DB is new at this. Is it possible what he said was a "flub", or taken out of context. If so, then it means even less than nothing. Here's what I look at, if DB's words meant something, why haven't any of these "changes" occured? What exactly are they waiting for? Its not like any of these positions will have an impact on who the sign, draft or trade for. It won't make a difference to whomever they hire as president of ops, unless that person happens to insist they are removed. I want the changes you want. I just wont believe it until I see it

How can it be interference when the play is over? You can't be interfered with in that instance. Any discussion about legalilty should be thrown out. Since when can you just level a guy when the game in not in play?
