this is an example....Its one..... One from 2017. According to Hockeyfights, he's fought 10 times in 8 seasons, or just over one per season on average. If, in all those instances, he was sticking up for teammates, that means he does so once per season (i'll give him the benefit of the doubt). So this POV, which I have heard a lot, is disingenuous. Its part of the problem that I have with him. Not that he isnt a fighter, he's not, but that he's often given more credit than he deserves for something he just doesnt do. It's like referring to him as a goal scorer for having some memorable highlight goals.

I'm really ok with the Hathaway signing. He's a tough player with some 'tude, and from what I'm reading, a professional. Plus he knows his future in Philly is limited, unless he somehow performs at a level that causes them to keep him. Maybe he has a fire under his asss that could set an example for these young guys

However, this factoid will not deter us from lambasting him for any decision we feel is inappropriate or not in line with our own individual opinion of how this team should be run, even if it isn't in line with whatever that long term vision/plan is. It the Forum way!

However, it seems to me that Waddell coming out and saying the trade will be honored, knowing he was lying (assumption), really puts him in a bad spot. It was direct language, not vague GM speak allowing interpretation
