You make an excellent point regarding the lockout and the end of many great players careers. I was thinking the same thing the other day. If there is a full season lost, we may see the end of most if not all players that began their careers in the early to mid-90's. To me, that era (90's) was the golden age for the sport. It would be a real shame if such players fade into the sunset without the proper sendoff. Here's to hoping the lockout ends soon. Great article.

@DinahMoeHumm It's Vince McMahon at an WWE (F) event. Vader over at silly.com would post it everytime Toronto won a game that coincided with a Flyers loss. I am still uncertain if he was serious about his Leafs or if he was just making light of how bad the Leafs actually are.

The closest we could tell you about any sport is that a long snapper is kind of like a face off specialist. Other than that, I can proudly say that with the lockout looming my Sabres will win the Presidents Cup and the Stanley Cup too (with or without actual games being played). Lindy Ruff is the next Messiah, the Lumina sleeps with the Halibut and you all are Turkeys. The great thing about the lockout is that Lupul and Kessel can be the #1 and #1a forwards in the NHL since, well, everybody technically is #1 right now. Me and the boys at the Lexus Dealership are going to the Air Canada Centre to talk about how great the Leafs are and how "technically" they are in 1st place.

I wish I had the disciplined to walk away from the NHL, but it is the first sport to catch my full attention and the only one that I would call in sick for should the Flyers win the cup. With that said, I am upset as to what is happening. I am upset that the owners can't control themselves and spend out of control and need pig vomit Bettmen to come in and lock the doors on the players. I think it is a joke what we "fans" spend to watch this crap. If a viable league were to step in, I would leave this all behind, but since that probably will never happen. I will die rooting for the O&B
