Greetings:
The O and B are favorites:
https://statsalt.com/games/nhl/3-5-2020/carolina-hurricanes-vs-philadelphia-flyers-prediction-3529/
Are we going to show fatigue after a tough game? Will Hart be at the top of his game? The Hurricanes have played well against the Flyers (five of last seven) recently. It will be interesting.

They have to stop the dumb penalties. The 4th goal is essential.

Greetings:
The Caps are favorites. We are 3-8 in our last 11 visits to DC.

The O and B are a much better face-off team than the Caps. Otherwise, these teams are fairly equal statistically. It should be a humdinger.

I wonder what we have in Grant? Is he a late-bloomer or a journeyman on a hot streak? I guess we find out over the rest of the season. But for now, it looks like a good pick-up.
-
I didn't expect this start. I like Grant's pass to Raffl. That shows some good skill. This is not King's problem. Even Milbury said it. We are playing well.

Love the Tag!
Basically a playoff atmosphere. What's everybody drinking?
Well, let's see if Gary Cooper can play a few shifts!
Will hold off on fermented grape juice until later in PM....maybe not....

The bookies are all over the map on this game--some give the edge to Philly, some to the Rags:
Our record the last 10+ games is great but our away record isn't so hot. Kreider's absence has to hurt.
This should be fun!

We are favorites on home ice, but this is against a very hot Rangers club:
Find 'em, Chase 'em, Sink'em!

Good win. This squad is disciplined and competitive. I hope the newbies get acclimated soon.

On paper, we are a better team. San Jose has lost their last four.
But history says the Sharks own us, having taken eight of the last ten, and 80% overall.
This will be a good matchup. Management has signaled its faith in the coaching staff and players. Now they have to deliver.

I guess Mr. Fletcher will be going on little sleep this weekend. I can't see anything big given the cap space. This squad is coming of age and strong at home. Patrick is "lurking." We'll see.

We are betting favorities:
Winnipeg's penalty kill is weak. We are at home and Hart's been terrific at WFC. The Hurricanes lost last night but we need to earn points in this crazy tight division.

Listening on Sirius with CBJ announcers. They sounded like a Presidential assassination with Hayes overtime winner...sober. Well, glad we got the 2nd point. Onward and upward.

Glad to see a comeback, 1 point better than none but we want 2...

The odds makers appear to give a mild edge to the O and B:

That said, Nationwide has been a house of horrors (2-13 over the last 15). CBJ is banged up and last night's win may have been easier than we thought playing against a lot of AHL call-ups. Regardless--every point counts.

The O and B are a slight favorite. CBJ does well as a road underdog, but the Flyers have been a better team of late:
These two games may determine playoff picture down the road for either team.

I watched the bookend periods. Carter's first goal was not so hot. He has some work to do.
Watching made me reflect on the '03-'04 ECF. I had images of Sami Kapanen struggling to the bench...Keith Primeau carrying the team on his shoulders. Strange.
TB is very, very talented. Vasilevskiy is impressive. We tried hard but couldn't catch them in the end. Shades of '03-'04. Sorry if I date myself.

We may be playing good hockey, but Tampa Bay is on a roll and we are 20-41 over the last 61 on their ice:
This is a big test at a time we need every point.

We're all happy about your clear-minded decision also, @Howie58.
That makes two of us!

All in, Tallon has done a pretty good job with the draft and depth trades. His Bobo signing may come back to haunt him. Agreed that their first line is very talented. I live a few miles from Sunrise and had a partial seasons pass for a few years but gave up trying to "bond" with the squad. I am happy with my NHL Center Ice and Flyers.

This is a good matchup. These teams are in "advanced rebuild" mode with good young players and successful coaches. The question is whether the O and B can overcome bad starts and "awayitis?" I have to think performance will have impact on trade decisions, if any.

Florida is a mild favorite:

It appears to be a Bobo-Hart matchup. We beat them 3-1 last week in Philly. Can we take the season series?
-
Greetings:
This is a matchup of two fairly equal teams. Of late, the Isles have played well against us. I agree with this pundit that home edge may matter if legs get tired late in the second of back-to-backs.
Every point counts.

I was a bit surprised Anaheim let him go so cheaply. We really don't know if he is a late bloomer or a Glen Metropolit-type having an out-of-nowhere year.
