  1. At least PA has some elevation points you can go to for relief. Two of my favorite things about living in Colorado (Springs and Denver) was that when it got really hot (hot is hot regardless if it is humid hot or arid hot), was that you could hop in the truck and go up into the mountains. When I lived in Colorado Springs, that drive was literally 15 minutes from my house. Sitting by a lake and instantly 10 degrees cooler.
  2. Take a crack at him? Seems better than the tampa guy for a bit more money.
  3. Sounds like me- as long as you regard my super skating with double runner blades!
  4. @hf101 I did not see your link to the Flyers site until after I converted from PDF. As it turns out, the file I sent jammer was microscopic (which is weird, but in my viewer, it is fine). @AlaskaFlyerFan Yeah, that makes sense. I was working with the PDF file. How is the heat in texas treating you?
  5. @AlaskaFlyerFan How did you do that. When I tried to copy and paste into anything, it would only work in excel and I ended up with the same delimited txt crunch stuff that @hf101 did. When I converted it, the file size was too big to post here (6mb).
  6. Which seems to be the prevailing wind with him. He does not sniff north of 4m this year- and it will be a 1 year try out at best. What is the deal with Russian players anyway??
  7. Until the playoffs! Ha ha. Kunitz was atrocious. Dupuis had a career year. Seriously, who do you then put with Malkin? This is the problem with a top heavy team. All that said,
  8. @jammer2 I converted it to a bitmap file. Unfortunately the file size is too big. Try this freeware which will allow you to convert the PDF to a bitmap (can be viewed in paint or windows viewer). The softward is a small file. http://www.tipard.com/free-pdf-to-bmp-converter/ If you want to send me a private message with your e-mail, I can send you the converted file.
  9. I remember that guy. He was not an in-season poster, but wrote a great series of what I would call articles on both the prospect camp and training camp.
  10. Maybe you are just being sarcastic or cynical, but all three of those players are good RAW hockey players and local (ie. so travel cost is reduced). The prospect camp is mostly for current amateur (Junior or College players) and gives them is a developmenht / teaching camp. There are some Phantoms that goe there and usually they are also invited to training camp in August as well (but go to prospect camp to get additional work). You have nearly 50 players that attend and most are not pro players.
  11. Truthfully, I think Eric would be more qualified in the front office- I say that only because of his "Ombudsmen" executive role with the NHL- one in which he earned a great amount of respect from me because he told the NHL to go screw themselves after it was clear that they just wanted him to be a puppet / message boy and not actually lead in relations between the NHLPA and NHL.
  12. There, I fixed it for you.
  13. Thanks Jammer. I guess I will back off my cynicism. Though I do think we could have had him in the third round (perhaps he would have needed to move up early in the third, but we could do that with our extra 4th from Columbus).
  14. Is that true? He was at 60 games (including playoffs), so I thought that was still within waiver exemption?
  15. Did all the squabbling end regarding the city and where they were going to build the new arena? I feel bad for Adirondack- yet if I understand it correctly, Comcast does not own the Phantoms (some group from Pittsburgh does). In the end, it would have probably made more sense just to keep the Phantoms at the spectrum, under comcast ownership, and build the arena in Allentown / Lehigh Valley as always was rumored prior to the Adirondack move. I played allot of hockey at the Flyers Skate Zone in Bethlehem, so its good that area gets an AHL team. The rivalry with the mini-penguins will be even greater with the close prosimity of Allentown and Scranton.
  16. So all he is is a shooter tutor for practice. pfft. I guess on the plus side, glad we have a few extra dollars to trade for a goalie should Breezy tank or get significantly injured this year.
  17. The other part of that is that Bobs stated repeatedly that he and Breezy didn't even talk. They were not friends what-so-ever.
  18. I agree and thus why I get angered at the initial contract offerred to bob (75K at the AHL level). There was not way Bobs was going to go be a starter in the AHL for 75K. That is an utter insult. When they initially signed him, they made it clear that they wanted him to play in the NHL and would get a good number of games. After signing Breezy, the fair thing would have been to send bob to the AHL so he could get 60 or so starts and improve his northamerican game. The contract the Flyers signed him too prohibited that essentially. That said, I am still shocked we got a 2nd and 4th for him (more the 2nd). I am equally shocked that we used that 2nd on a project goalie. I also am not in the camp that Bryz is not moveable. I think after his third year (or even this year), he is moveable or could be bought out. The major damage of the buyout would not be felt until 2020.
  19. That's fare. I just wanted a d-man. I know it is hypocritical since we NEVER draft goalies. But I just think 2 birds in hand (Bobs) is better than one in the bush. So, for me, we moved Bobs (a known with potential and some experience) for an utter unknown with zero experience.
  20. @Canadian Sabres I actually could see that (detroit).
  21. Is Quigly coffee shop / gumby?
  22. I agree with everything you said. He can also run off a 20 game piss poor play streak anytime as well.
  23. What is the highest you see him??
  24. @radoran Hard to believe, isn't it?? Their GM should have been fired for the Carter trade alone. Coburn- 8th Giroux- 22nd B. Schenn- 5th Couturier- 8th L. Schenn- 5th Voraceck- 7th Hartnell- 6th Briere- 24th Pronger- 2nd While the Flyers did not draft most of those guys, they are certainly adept of acquiring quality first rounds. I mean as it stands now, nearly half the team consists of first rounds.
