I agree. Yet, he wasn't even playing in the Swedish Elite league when he signed with the Flyers. I would like to know who scouted him!? His type of pick ups only seem to happen to the Red Wings.
What do you think the reason for that is? Most thought Macdaddy was just another in a long line of stay at home 4-6 guys? (I beg to differ watching him play), but still.
I just looked at it again. My eyes are sore. I thought at first it was just a sucker glove to the face. The stick going / riding up like that is BS and agree with the OP.
....the whipping dog is dead. Raffl was great in his steed. My whipping dog is Vinny, but he has been playing well of late. I just want him to pull briere type stuff in the playoffs and I will cut his leash off the post.
.... the score indicates. Some clutch plays by the Flyers, but without Mason, this game was a loss. I LOVE Schirtenek, but he disappeared after the first two periods. That said, the 4 minors on Girioux was a bit extreme. Given that, Sobakta did a really nice job. To get Girioux of the ice for 6 minutes and allowing him two points was AWESOME. Mason and Raffl are the ones we should be talking about. Without either of their stellar play, this game was an L.
Isnt it odd how seemingly innocuous trades come to life. I hate the write ups in the papers about Mac (as they do not know anything most of the time), but at this juncture, and if I keep seeing this through the playoffs (particularly steadying Schenn), I will give him the 4.5 he wants.
Shut up! You know nothing about hockey. Don't get me started on the Spitfires!!! (joking). Peace Jammer ( had a maker / hitch reference earlier and was thinking of you). Did they get married yet? Rumor is that Hitch has improved his stroke immensely. Just joking around.
.... The mason trade to me initially "thanks for Bobs" deal. I still really like bobsky. Mason has had some rough patches, but he stole that game tonight against the blues. While he won't be a Vezina winner yet (not this year), I love his level of play / compete. I also love what he says post game (no wear wolves of bears coming from him. All I want in my goalie is steadiness, and steal of a few games or two and some sense of sainess.
Hmm- The whipping post: Vinny: 55 gp, 15 g / 18 a team leading -16 (not a effing sniff of anyone to come close to that), 4.5M salary, 15m pg toi Downie: 47gp, 3g / 14 a -1, 2.6M salary at 14m toi a game Downie:
If the standings stay that way, that is going to be a monster first round series. I also like the B's / Columbus matchup. But the Col / Chi will be the one to watch. Both teams are highly skilled and hate each other. Col has Chi's number this year, but in a playoff series, all bets are off.
Yeah. I really like Yzerman (both as a player and a hockey executive), but I think he really screwed the pooch on the St Louis thing. There has to be a back story there (even prior to the Olympics selection committee fiasco). I think both teams hurt themselves. Both are sub-.500 since the trade.
