I think we're past the time where games would start on Dec 1st and (with no end to the lockout in sight) we're running out of time to have any hockey games until Oct of 2013.

@hf101, No and no. I wanted this to be difficult (maybe not this difficult though). I didn't want someone to guess 30 mins after I posted the mask. Hint 4: He spent parts of two seasons with the LA Kings.

No. It is not Al Smith. I have a feeling I'm going to have to reveal the owner in a couple weeks! LOL Actually, I will limit the hints to 5. The 5th hint will give it away.

Sources tell Philadelphia Daily News writer Frank Seravalli that Snider soured on the process when it became likely that there would be no deal in time to start an abbreviated season on Dec. 1. According to Seravalli, Snider - who serves on the executive committee of the NHL's Board of Governors - is essentially of the opinion that the final deal that the owners will eventually get on revenue division and players' contract rights will not be as good as what NHL commissioner Gary Bettman originally envisioned. That being the case, writes Seravalli, the owners may only win the battle for a better revenue split, and still have to accept an angry fan base and sponsorship woes following a lockout that is in its third month. However, sources tell TSN's Darren Dreger that Snider is still firmly behind Bettman. "Good example of an owner who wants to play...badly," tweeted Dreger on Saturday morning. "But, I'm told Snider remains strongly in Bettman's corner." The lockout entered its 63rd day on Saturday. With games cancelled through Nov. 30, it's thought that the NHL may start cutting games into December, along with the All-Star Game in Columbus on Jan. 27.

Hint 3. He was traded from his WHA team to the NHL for cash.

I don't know. I went back and looked at the hit (several times). I don't think I would classify this as "Kronwalled". Cote comes in low and explodes upward, but does not make contact with Geoffrion's head. Kronwall comes in more upright and would have made direct contact with the head. Kronwall also seems to take more of a "on the same track" line at the player he is going to hit. Cote's hit was perpendicular. It looks like Cote's entire right side (shoulder, arm, hip, etc) makes contact with Geoffrion's chest. Geoffrion's head does not snap back or forward for that matter. I've never seen a charging call when a guy comes in skating backwards like that. Violent hit...absolutely. Penalty...definately in youth hockey, but at the AHL/NHL level? I really don't think so.

Wow. I guess that hint wasn't all that good. Maybe this one will be better. Hint 2: Owns/operates an adult toy store.

Hint: He played in the WHA before playing in the NHL.

What about he movie "Goon"? I haven't seen it but I've heard it is pretty good...not "Slap Shot" good but still pretty good.
