  1. Who is saying that? The only thing I've read was some twitter BS speculating it is a cut. I'm with you, I don't see it anywhere. He was favoring his left leg, the *speculators* are saying right leg. Idiots. http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?p=49242681
  2. Briere & Simmonds were at center ice forchecking Kovalchuck. They had no support on the left side because Schenn & Gus went for the change. Rookie(s) mistake.
  3. Yes, Schenn and Gus were changing at the wrong time. They left their position when the puck was at center ice (1st OT = long change). Huh? Kovy had the puck for like 10 seconds before he passed it to Ponikarovsky who was breaking down the side Gus vacated. Gus hung Lilja and Bryz out to dry on that change.
  4. Put the bong down and back away from the crack pipe! The last thing the Flyers need is to have Bryz trying to be Brodeur. He has a hard enough time playing his own game.
  5. @radoran @idahophilly @orange_crush, Stop making sense...It's the goalies fault!
  6. It looks like a left knee injury to me. He was stretched out and then suddenly dropped down on his left knee. That tells me his knee *collapsed* to some extent.
  7. The Tonner is always good for a laugh!
  8. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=394742 NASHVILLE -- The Nashville Predators have suspended forwards Alexander Radulov and Andrei Kostitsyn for Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinal with the Phoenix Coyotes for a violation of team rules. Nashville general manager David Poile announced the decision Tuesday in a statement but did not elaborate on what rules were broken. The Predators trail the Coyotes 2-0 ahead of Wednesday's critical Game 3 in Nashville. "I've been a manager for 30 years, I care about each individual player, but I've never put an individual player above the team. In this case, the players violated a team rule," Poile told TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com. "It's disappointing any time a player has to miss a game because of violating a team rule, and it's even more significant at playoff time, but the decision between the coach and myself was very easy. "We have to do the right thing. Their actions spoke volumes in terms of their lack of commitment and focus to give our a club a chance to win." Radulov returned to the Predators in March after bolting to the Russian KHL following the 2007-08 season. He had three goals and four assists in nine regular-season games. The 25-year-old has one goal and five assists in five playoff games. The Predators acquired Kostitsyn from the Montreal Canadiens prior to the trade deadline in hopes of bolstering their attack for the post-season. The 27-year-old had four goals and eight assists in 19 games with the Preds, after collecting 24 points (12-12) with the Habs. Kostitsyn has three goals and an assist so far in this year's playoffs. "The Nashville Predators have a few simple rules centred around doing the right things," Poile said. "We have always operated with a team-first mentality and philosophy. Violating team rules is not fair to our team and their teammates." Nashville defeated the Detroit Red Wings in fives games in the first round of the playoffs.
  9. Maybe you missed the part about *accurate*!
  10. It is a good problem to have. Lots of depth.
  11. Which site do you "rely" on for accurate Flyers news (besides this one)? Philly.com, CSNPhilly, others?
  12. Let them play the Devils before worrying about who the next opponent is.
  13. Ryan Parent did it and he didn't get suspended. Oh, wait, he hurt his own team's goalie...nevermind.
  14. He's too slow to get out of the way!
  15. I think its another clear example of punishing the result of the play and not the act itself.
  16. I almost put the "1 year" at the end (no soup for you. come back, 1 year) but I didn't want people to think I was predicting the Pens would win next year.
  17. The actual seeding doesn't change. Flyers are still the #5 seed. The highest remaining seed plays the lowest remaining seed, second highest remaining plays second lowest remaining.
