Humboldt returns to the ice tonight on the NHL Network at 7:30 eastern. This is their first game back since the tragedy. They play the Nipawin Hawks, he same team they were supposed to play on the night of the accident. I hope this brings some level of healing to the family's of those who passed, the organization, the city of Humboldt, and the rest of the hockey world.

There was a tribute to a young girl that passed away from a form of childhood cancer. One player, Rocco Grimaldi, was the only player on the ice, took a flower and placed it on the center ice face off dot. Then came the tribute to the Humboldt Broncos. All the players and referees lined up around the center ice face off circle. After the PA announcer said a few words, all the players took a flower and placed it on the center ice face off dot. The arena was absolutely silent for the moment of silence. It was extremely difficult to hold it together.

Last night, the San Antonio Rampage paid tribute to the Humboldt Broncos. When you walk in the front doors to the arena, this is what greeted you.

Which photo, first or second? I think the front of the bus is mangled under the cab of the Semi. In the first picture you can see the same color (blue) as the what is remaining on the bus. In the second picture there is a wheel near the cab of the semi that matches one of the back wheels of the bus. The upside down wheels are part of the trailer.

Wow. It looks like half the bus is missing. So incredibly sad...
